Performance Monitoring and Verification
Our renewable and distributed energy systems are centrally monitored to ensure optimum performance and run time. For example, over the years PV systems are vulnerable to shading and natural degradation. Our systems track performance against a model, uncovering potential issues so they can be corrected quickly. Nexamp’s energy and carbon management system is also used to provide revenue-grade monitoring and verification for our clients. Specifically, we track electricity production for RECs and energy usage for carbon credits. This information can be provided to third-party verifiers to prove that the level of carbon or energy reduction claimed is actually being achieved, thus ensuring that these credits will count.

In addition to maintaining our own installed systems, Nexamp’s enterprise energy and carbon management system offers advanced data trending and analysis of maintenance requirements to facility managers. We can pull data from your existing building automation system, track equipment performance, and develop predictive maintenance schedules. Predictive maintenance can significantly lower labor and equipment costs and reduce work stoppage or line shutdowns. It can also save energy by detecting declines in operating efficiency so that components can be replaced before problems develop.
