Chris is Vice President of Business Development at Nexamp. In this capacity, he oversees Nexamp’s efforts to develop, build, own and operate utility scale renewable energy projects. Chris joined Nexamp in 2008 as Director of Advisory Services, Nexamp’s energy efficiency division. Under his leadership, Nexamp’s Advisory Services team grew from a single employee to a national consultancy, with a client base inclusive of Fortune 500 companies and the US military. Chris was also the architect of Nexamp’s Clean Energy Road Map, a dynamic web-based dashboard that helps building owners model the performance of energy reduction projects under multiple scenarios. The Advisory Services group was successfully sold to Retroficiency in 2011.

Before joining Nexamp, he managed the Community Wind Initiative at the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust. In this position, he worked with Massachusetts communities seeking to host megawatt scale wind projects on municipal land. Prior to that, as a consultant at both XENERGY and KEMA, he led consulting efforts focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy policy, project development, and program management. He received his MS in Resource Policy from the University of Michigan and holds a holds a bachelor’s in geology from Denison University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
