Along with the new funds, Retroficiency has a new acquisition, buying the energy efficiency division of Nexamp Inc. of North Andover.

The camp announced Friday a plan to build a 25 acre solar array, the largest in Massachusetts.

November 5th, 2011RUTLAND — A North Andover solar company is developing the largest solar panel array in New England on a portion of the Treasure Valley Boy Scout Camp.
About 30 acres of the 1,600-plus-acre Boys Scouts of America reservation will be cleared for 20,500 solar panels, which will produce 6 megawatts of energy — the equivalent of powering 900 homes for a year. The panels will be installed and managed by Nexamp Inc., which will rent the land from the Scouts’ Mohegan Council. Once all permits are in place, the project is expected to be operational by December 2012. The town of Rutland passed a zoning bylaw on solar panels two weeks ago.

November 3rd, 2011WORCESTER — The Boy Scouts of America Mohegan Council has signed an agreement to develop what it says will be the largest installation of solar panels in the state.
Under the agreement, Nexamp Inc. of North Andover will design, build, manage and operate a 6-megawatt photovoltaic generation facility consisting of about 20,500 solar panels on 30 acres at the Treasure Valley Boy Scout Reservation in Rutland. The array will feed energy into the distribution system owned by National Grid, the London-based energy provider that operates in Massachusetts.
