Solar Power Purchase Agreements for Homeowners
Consistent with our mission to make clean energy simple and
more affordable, Nexamp is pleased to announce that we are offering solar
power purchase agreements to homeowners. These serve as an addition to our power purchase agreement offerings to municipalities, businesses, and not-for-profits. For little to no upfront cost, Nexamp clients
realize immediate savings on their electricity bill.
For example, a qualifying homeowner can receive solar electricity
under a 15-year contract for a fixed $0.15 per kWh (about 20% savings) for a 5 kW project (about 5,800 kWh per year). The power purchase rates can be better for
larger energy users due to economies of scale and for public entities and
affordable housing that qualifies for additional incentives. United Teen Equality
Center recently announced
that it has selected Nexamp to help them be among the first to benefit from
a solar power purchase agreement.
We are confident that Nexamp offers superior service and
value to our turnkey solar power purchase agreement clients because we install,
own, and maintain the solar projects ourselves.
Nexamp delivers the quality and service that has helped to make us the
largest solar installer headquartered in Massachusetts.

Wind Case Study: Carter and Stevens Farm
Nexamp client, Carter and Stevens Farm, recently held a public viewing on
their dairy farm in Barre, MA, to celebrate their new 15 kW Proven
Energy wind turbine going fully operational.
Over 100 guests were in attendance, including the Massachusetts Commissioner
of Agriculture, Scott Soares, to hear the farm's owners speak about their
experience with Nexamp, and how their renewable energy project dream became a
reality.
Carter and Stevens Farm was able to pay for the majority of the wind project with money from state and federal renewable energy incentive programs. With the help from these programs, the turbine will pay for itself in less than three years.

Featured Nexamp Employee: Jon Pierce Lead residential solar integrator, Jon Pierce, has been with Nexamp for over three years, and has seen the company expand from four people, to over thirty. Like many of Nexamp's employees, Jon is an Iraq War veteran, serving as a Specialist in the United States Army from 2001-2005, working on M113 tanks and Humvees.
Jon believes that his experience in the Army has helped him become a leader in the clean energy business. "Both Nexamp and the Army instill a high sense of personal responsibility and require teamwork to accomplish common goals," said Pierce. When asked what his favorite part about working for Nexamp, Jon replied: "I really like the values and approach Nexamp takes in reducing our client's carbon footprints and energy costs. I feel as though we are always looking out for their best interest, rather than just seeking profits. This mindset is in place at the highest level of our management team, all the way down to the lowest chain of command. I enjoy waking up and going to work each and every day. I have a extremely high sense of pride in what Nexamp has accomplished thus far, and I am excited about what Nexamp will accomplish in the future."

With New Geothermal Tax Credit Policy, Nexamp Seeing Growth in Geothermal Installations.
Since the enactment of the Federal Stimulus Package, which included a 30% tax credit on the total installed cost of a geothermal heating and cooling system, Nexamp has seen an increase in the number of geothermal installations. "The tax credit really makes geothermal heating and cooling more affordable for the average homeowner," said Damien Morinon, Nexamp's geothermal specialist. A geothermal heat pump (GHP) provides heating and cooling for your home and replaces a conventional HVAC system such as a furnace and an air conditioner by harnessing the moderate temperature of the earth. Nexamp is currently in the process of installing three geothermal heating and cooling systems in Middleton, Boxford, and Webster, Massachusetts. For a complimentary geothermal site assessment, please contact Emma Kosciak, at 978-688-2700, ext 713., or ekosciak@nexamp.com |
