National Grid's New England Distribution Center - Whitinsville, MA
Nexamp served as the general contractor for the completion of this monumental 1-megawatt solar project--the largest currently installed in Massachusetts. The solar project consists of 4,683 solar panels and generates enough clean electricity to power 200 homes annually. |

Wire Belt Company of America -
Londonderry, NH
Wire Belt, the leading manufacturer of open-mesh stainless steel conveyor belting, hired Nexamp to install New Hampshire's largest solar array. The 99.3-kW array generates approximately 20% of the power demanded on site. "Not only did the installation go very smoothly and quicker than planned, but the system performed better than expected," said Wire Belt's CEO, David Greer. |

United Teen Equality Center -
Lowell, MA
This 33-kW solar PV project will produce nearly 90% of the elctricity demaded at the United Teen Equality Center-where nearly 2,200 at-risk teens are provided education and real-world job training every year. Nexamp entered into a power purchase agreement with UTEC: Nexamp owns and operates the system and sells the clean electricity to UTEC at a low, fixed rate. |

Boston Properties - Weston, MA
Boston Properties hired Nexamp to complete a ground mounted 110-kW solar array to power their private waste water treatment facility at their Biogen Campus in Weston. The array is expected to supply all of the power needed to run the facility, and any excess power will be consumed by the surrounding office buildings. |

Orchard Park (Madison Park Development Corporation) -
Roxbury, MA
Complementing Nexamp's PV installation up the road at Dudley Village, this is the second affordable housing project Nexamp has completed in Roxbury in the last two years. The solar arrays, totaling 71 kW, were installed on the roofs of 16 affordable housing units in Orchard Park. Funded through state grants, these solar systems will drastically reduce the amount of electricity needed to power the homes. "We expect the solar arrays at Orchard Park to reduce the homeowners' utility bills by 50% or more, compared to a home of similar size," said Nexamp Senior Vice President Jon Abe. |

NewStream - Attleboro, MA
With environmental stewardship as a company mission, water recycling company NewStream and Nexamp teamed up to further NewStream's sustainability agenda with the installation of a 110 kW solar PV system atop their Attleboro water recycling facility. "This solar array compliments NewStream's environmentally conscious business model," said Nexamp's Vice President of Sales Scott McClintock. |

Nexamp Completes Open Loop Geothermal System in North Attleboro, MA

|
| While this may look like an ordinary HVAC system, this geothermal heat pump is harnessing clean energy from the earth. |
After a long winter of expensive heating bills, North Attleboro resident Kevin Schmitt contacted Nexamp in the early spring to determine if there was a more efficient way to heat his home. After discussing the benefits of geothermal heating and cooling with Nexamp's geothermal expert Damien Morinon, Kevin decided to go ahead with a geothermal project.
Nexamp executed a complete HVAC retrofit for the two-story residence, converting a forced hot water baseboard heating system to a forced hot air geothermal heated system. "Not only will Kevin have an extremely efficient heating method when winter comes, geothermal systems also provide the added benefit of circulating cooler air to offer comfort on hot summer days," said Morinon.
A geothermal heat pump (GHP) provides affordable heating and cooling for your home and replaces a conventional HVAC system (most commonly, a furnace and air conditioner) by harnessing the earth's constant moderate temperature. This particular system uses an open loop, which taps into ground water several hundred feet beneath the earth's surface. The home stays approximately 70 degrees Farenheit all year.
The federal government provides a 30% tax credit to homeowners who install a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Featured Nexamp Employee:
Justin Orzeck

Bringing with him over 10 years of electrical experience, Electrician Justin Orzeck has been a part of Nexamp since the summer of 2009. "It's been an extremely fast and exciting year," said Justin.
Justin is one of Nexamp's lead electricians whose day to day activities involve the layout, installation, and wiring of solar photovoltaic systems at residential and commercial jobsites. Justin is also heavily involved in the training and mentoring of apprentice electricians.
"Since the modern solar industry is such a new field, electricians generally have little experience installing solar arrays," said Justin. "As an electrician, you have to come to Nexamp with a willingness to learn and accept the steep learning curve that is involved with this profession. It's my job to get the new guys up to speed."
Committed to excellence at an early age, Justin was recognized by the Mayor of Fall River and awarded a citation for excellence in his Diman Regional Vocational High School's shop program. Consequently, Justin finished number one in his class.
Since graduation, Justin gained electrical experience working for American Dryer and Wayne J. Griffin Electric, earning his journeyman's license in 2004, and his masters in 2005. In early 2010, Justin became just one of a few thousand nationwide to pass the National Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) exam.
"Becoming NABCEP certified was a huge personal achievement. Not only is it great for my personal knowledge, it absolutely increases credibility on the jobsite. It allows me to do my job with more confidence," said Justin.
When asked about the benefits of working in the clean energy industry, and specifically for Nexamp, Justin said: "I couldn't be happier with the industry that I am working in. It definitely gives you a good feeling every day when you know that you're making the world a better place. Personally, I love the feeling knowing that I'm making the world a cleaner and healthier place for my son to grow up in. And Nexamp is an awesome company to work for When the president of the company takes the time to truly get to know each and every employee, it goes a long way to let you know that the management team cares about all of its employees. It's kind of like a family here at Nexamp."
Originally from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Justin, his wife Amy, and son Noah reside in Haverhill, MA.
