Solar Stimulus Progress Update
Projects at Ashland, Chelmsford, Easton, Falmouth, and Townsend have been installed,
with others on the way
Following Governor Deval Patrick's announcement earlier this year of $20 million in federal stimulus funding for Nexamp and our partner Florence Electric to install 4.1 megawatts of solar at public water and wastewater treatment plants across the Commonwealth, we've been hard at work completing the projects. Here is a photo update on projects installed to date.
If you are interested in learning how Nexamp can design and install a solar array for your site, please contact Emma Kosciak at 978-688-2700 x713 or ekosiak@nexamp.com.

Salute to Nexamp's Will Thompson
 |
Will Thompson (2nd from right) and fellow
Coast Guard members on clean-up duty |
Nexamp Senior Vice President of Construction Will Thompson recently returned from a several-month tour with the Coast Guard to help with the Gulf of Mexico clean-up efforts following the recent BP oil spill.
While in the Gulf, Will ensured that Gulf clean-up ships returning to port were themselves cleaned of oil to prevent that excess oil from reaching the coastline.
Will, a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard, is a former Captain with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. In the Army, he provided leadership in Germany for five years and completed combat and peacekeeping tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II and in the former Yugoslav republic of Kosovo. Will was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for his service in Iraq.
Here at Nexamp, Will oversees all aspects of project construction, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently for our clients.
Nexamp would like to express our deepest gratitude to Will for his service to our country, our environment, and the citizens of the Gulf Coast. Will, we're glad you're back, and are proud to have you as an integral part of our team.

Featured Nexamp Employee:
Emma Kosciak

Chances are, if you've called into Nexamp's office, you have spoken with Emma Kosciak. Also known as "The Voice" of Nexamp, she has been the backbone of the sales team for two years.
With a genuine passion for the outdoors, pursuing a career in clean energy was a natural fit for Emma.
"It didn't take long for me to realize that the greatest threat to our environment is the way we have long been over-using our natural resources," she says. After graduating from college with a degree in biology, Emma began her professional career working for the Cadmus Group, an environmental consulting firm. There, she became familiar with the Massachusetts solar industry, which led her to Nexamp.
At Nexamp, Emma is involved in all aspects of the sales process, from initial customer conversations through project completion, across multiple business lines. This requires an immense amount of knowledge about industries that are constantly evolving, but Emma embraces the challenge. "If I had to choose, I'd say my favorite thing about my job is how dynamic it forces me to be. My focus and responsibilities change as the market evolves and policy, technology, and financial solutions grow and mature."
Already the Nexamp resident expert on solar renewable energy certificates (SRECs) and other incentive legislation, Emma continually improves her knowledge to ensure that Nexamp's clients are able to receive the highest value and best rate of return for their solar PV investments.
