Boston Herald: "Governor gives $20M contract to 2 companies for solar panels" February 5, 2010. Gov. Deval Patrick awarded $20 million in stimulus money so two Massachusetts companies can install solar-energy equipment at 12 public wastewater treatment plants across the state.
The Patrick administration said the move is the state’s “largest-ever contract for installation of solar power.”
The joint contract with Nexamp Inc. of North Andover and Florence Electric of Taunton could create about 100 jobs while helping the environment through expanded use of clean energy, said Ian Bowles, Patrick’s secretary of energy and the environment. Link to Article
