David Brooks, May 12, 2010. LONDONDERRY – Wire Belt Co. on Tuesday turned on the state’s largest solar power array: a 99-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system atop its Londonderry site, next to the Manchester airport.

The array is twice the power of each of the state’s two current largest systems, which sit atop the headquarters of Public Service of New Hampshire in Manchester and Stonyfield Yogurt in Londonderry.

Wire Belt said its system, built by Nexamp of North Andover, Mass., will offset approximately 20 percent of the company’s total electricity consumed each year.
