Lori Stabile, December 14, 2010. WARREN - Work has begun on installing solar panels on the three schools within the Quaboag Regional School District, an initiative that could potentially save approximately $1 million over the next 20 years in electricity costs.
Superintendent Brett M. Kustigian said the multi-million-dollar project is being done at no cost to the district, which serves the towns of Warren and West Brookfield. He said the roofs are being rented for the next 20 years by Boston Community Capital and that the company is paying for the panels.
