Stimulus-Funded Solar Array Installed for Ashland Public Works Facility

24.6-kW solar photovoltaic array, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and installed by Nexamp and Florence Electric, is one of 12 statewide water & wastewater treatment plants to receive funding


Ashland, Mass. (August 19, 2010) – The Massachusetts Recovery and Reinvestment Office, the Town of Ashland’s Department of Public Works, and clean energy company Nexamp today announced the installation of a solar photovoltaic array at the Ashland Public Works Facility, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The 24.6-kW solar array will generate enough annual electricity to offset 42,844 lbs of carbon dioxide, and will provide approximately 40% percent of the power for the facility.
