Expanding Access to Solar Savings in Western MA

Nexamp’s second project at Allard’s Farm, Hadley II Solar will monetize marginally productive farmland to augment operations at the multi-generational family farm. As the first community solar project completed in the Western Massachusetts Electric Company service territory, Hadley II will save over 100 local residents, small businesses and non-profits hundreds of thousands of dollars through our community solar program over the lifetime of the project. Back in 2012, Nexamp completed a 3.0 MW installation on nearby farmland also owned by Allard’s Farm, which provides utility cost savings to UMass Amherst.

Project Benefits

  • Brings clean energy savings to over 100 area WMECo customers through community solar.

  • Helps monetize marginally productive farmland to augment operations at the multi-generational family farm.

  • Supported 20 local jobs through construction and ongoing maintenance.
