In 2015, Nexamp built this ground-mounted solar project on the banks of the Merrimack River for a local insurance company. To avoid subsurface obstructions on a site that had been previously prepared for commercial real estate development, we used a cast-in-place ballast with admixtures to accelerate the concrete curing process and deliver on our winter construction schedule. Nexamp executed all town approvals and permitting on behalf of our customer. With the site’s conspicuous location along a walking path by the Merrimack, we worked closely with the Town of Andover to incorporate aesthetically pleasing fencing, native plants, and educational signage that add to the public’s experience.
