Hadley II Solar

location:

Hadley, MA

size:

2,400 Kilowatts

Nexamp’s second project at Allard’s Farm, Hadley II Solar will monetize marginally productive farmland to augment operations at the multi-generational family farm. As the first community solar project completed in the Western Massachusetts Electric Company service territory, Hadley II will save over 100 local residents, small businesses and non-profits hundreds of thousands of dollars through our community solar program over the lifetime of the project. Back in 2012, Nexamp completed a 3.0 MW installation on nearby farmland also owned by Allard’s Farm, which provides utility cost savings to UMass Amherst.

This community solar project brings us one step closer to meeting our sustainability goals while supporting a local farm, increasing jobs in Massachusetts and generating electricity cost savings for the community.
