Swift Construction Through a Harsh Winter

International developer SunEdison awarded us the contract to construct this 2.4 MW array on a 15 acre vacant lot in Rutland, Mass in 2013.

We completed this installation within two months to meet our customer’s schedule despite the challenging slopes and record breaking snowfall. Sub-zero temperatures required a glycol-fluid warming blanket for 24-36 hours to thaw the ground for the safe burial of the extra-long medium voltage conduit and terminations. Our operations team ensured that the long lead times on the then uncommon components for the 800V project did not compromise our tight schedule.
