Seneca Solar is a 5.2 MW community solar project located in the Town of Seneca, NY. The long-term operation of Seneca Solar will bring investment into the upstate NY economy. Nexamp is partnering with Agrivoltaic Solutions LLC, created by a group of local sheep farmers, to provide vegetation management for the 20-acre property. This will create a valuable mid-year revenue stream for the farms, and further Nexamp’s dual mission of de-carbonization while supporting local communities. In addition to working with farmers, Nexamp also employs local electrical contractors for scheduled maintenance visits and service calls. The array is one of nine projects awarded contracts under the Empire State’s Solar for All program designed to provide no-cost clean energy to local low-income homeowners and renters. This project is able to provide clean energy savings to over 700 households and local businesses.
