Am I eligible?

Our program is open to households, renters, condos, businesses, and nonprofits. In an effort to be as inclusive as possible, we are currently enrolling community solar subscribers in Massachusetts, New York, and Maryland without a credit check. Please fill out the form above to check for availability at a community solar project serving your region.

How do I get started?

Upload your latest utility bill using the form above. Our team will check your account details to confirm eligibility and analyze your electricity usage to help decide how much solar is right for you. We will then provide a community solar summary and a secure electronic agreement for your review.

How do I see my savings?

Nexamp’s community solar projects generate net metering credits throughout the year, and each month, subscribers will earn a share of these credits to directly offset their electricity bill charges. After the credits offset your electricity bill, subscribers pay Nexamp for the credits at a fixed discount. You will earn more credits during the spring and summer months, when solar production is at its peak, and draw on any excess credits during the fall and winter months, when production is lower.

Does this change my relationship with my utility?

Not at all. The utility delivers electricity to your home as usual and will continue to service all equipment and resolve all power outages. Nexamp will handle all communication with your utility regarding your enrollment in Solarize My Bill. Even if the utility rates change, or if you sign up for electric competitive supply services through a third-party, you can continue to earn solar credits at a fixed discount.

How much does it cost to sign up?

There is no cost to enroll in Nexamp’s Solarize My Bill program, and no additional service fees associated with your participation.

Do I have to install solar panels on my property?

No. You are subscribing to a remote community solar farm. You receive credit for your share of the solar farm, but there is no installation of anything on your property.
