Nexamp, a leading solar and energy storage provider, is celebrating its new state-of-the-art headquarters in downtown Boston. The new location at 101 Summer Street provides a number of benefits for the company, including enhanced access to a highly skilled workforce and proximity to innovation that is shaping the new energy economy in the Northeast and across the country. Nexamp marked the milestone with an open house gala on Monday, February 4th that included company leaders, elected officials, valued partners and customers.

Featuring an open floorplan and a variety of collaborative spaces throughout the two floors, the new 22,000-square-foot office is designed to foster creativity and teamwork among the rapidly expanding workforce. The company employs more than 125 team members today and plans to add many more in the coming year. “The location was a very important consideration for us as we evaluated our options,” noted Nexamp CEO Zaid Ashai. “We are close to subway and commuter rail stations, we are in a vibrant business and retail area, and we are surrounded by some of the nation’s leading innovation companies. Our new office makes it easier to recruit a diverse selection of the right talent, providing a productive environment for career growth and development.”

Founded in 2007 by two military veterans committed to reducing the nation’s reliance on fossil fuels, Nexamp boasts a burgeoning portfolio of solar generating capacity across the country. The company manages the complete solar project lifecycle, from development, design and construction to financing, operations and maintenance. Nexamp’s innovative community solar program features large-scale solar arrays that make solar accessible to everyone—from homeowners and renters to small businesses and non-profits—with nothing to install, no credit check or long-term contract, and no up-front cost.

In remarks at the event, Abigail Ross Hopper, president and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), observed: “Nexamp is a great example of how companies in the solar and storage market are becoming more diverse, and as a result, better able to bring clean energy to all consumers, regardless of location, income or solar knowledge. This is an important part of ensuring solar’s leadership role in our nation’s renewables-focused future. Nexamp’s growing workforce and new headquarters are an asset to our shared industry.”

The new headquarters joins other Nexamp offices in Haverhill, MA; New York City; Chicago; Washington, DC; Providence, RI; and San Diego. Serving a rapidly expanding network of individuals, property owners, businesses, and communities that benefit from its nationally distributed portfolio of solar assets, Nexamp is laying the groundwork for a cleaner, more secure and resilient energy future.
