Taunton Gazette: “City firm fueling solar power” February 5, 2010. A Taunton-based company, partnered with a North Andover firm, has been awarded a share of a $20 million state contract to install solar power at a dozen public water and wastewater treatment facilities throughout Massachusetts, the Commonwealth’s the largest ever award for solar installations in public facilities.

Funded by federal stimulus money, the projects call for the installation of a total of 4.1 megawatts of solar energy and are expected to be completed between June of this year and July 2010.

Florence Electric of Taunton and its partner, Nexamp of North Andover, won the contracts through a competitive solicitation by the Department of Energy Resources. Link to Article
