Dismas House has been helping the formerly incarcerated manage the complicated transition from prison back to the community in the greater Worcester area for the last 30 years. Dismas offers an important platform to those most in need of recovery, employment and housing. In 2015, Dismas House enrolled in the Community Solar with Nexamp program and now is offsetting much of its annual electricity expense with a subscription to one of Nexamp’s local community solar farms.
With no equipment to install, no upfront costs and no cancellation fee, Community Solar with Nexamp is an easy and risk-free way for Dismas House to benefit from locally produced clean energy. By saving on electricity costs, Dismas is able to invest in more in programs and resources that align with its mission.
