Just down the road from the massive Marathon refinery in Robinson, Illinois, two co-located Nexamp community solar farms are generating clean energy for the Ameren utility grid. Located next to 950th Sun 2, 950th Sun is a 7.3 Megawatt project that relies on 12,528 American-made solar modules and a tracker mounting system to produce enough energy to meet the needs of more than 1,000 typical households. Residents can enroll in the Nexamp community solar farm to save on their annual electricity costs while also supporting the expansion of renewable energy in their community.
