Argenta Renewables, a 6.7 Megawatt community solar farm in Argenta, Illinois, generates clean energy for the Ameren utility grid and enables area residents to participate in the Nexamp community solar program to save on their annual electric expenses. With more than 11,000 American-made solar modules and a versatile tracker mounting system, the project is capable of meeting the power needs of approximately 900 average households. It is located in the central part of the state, only about 10 miles outside of Decatur.
