Barre Road Solar in New Braintree lies north of downtown and just east of a local airport, generating 1.3 Megawatts of renewable solar energy from 2,304 modules mounted to a tracker system. Feeding energy to the National Grid grid, this community solar farm offsets the energy needs of roughly 200 average households and makes it possible for subscribers to reduce their annual electric expenses. This is one of Nexamp’s first projects to feature a self-build approach, where Nexamp worked directly with the utility to construct the infrastructure needed for interconnection.
