Basswood Solar is a 2.7 megawatt community solar farm built on previously cleared land just east of Bangor in Holden, Maine. It serves residents who get their electricity from Versant and helps subscribers reduce their annual electric expenses while adding a new source of renewable energy to the grid. With more than 4,500 solar modules attached to a tracker mounting system for maximum productivity, Basswood Solar serves roughly 350 area residents and joins a rapidly growing portfolio of Nexamp projects in Maine.
