Manteno, Illinois, just north of Kankakee, is home to Bradley Renewables, a 6.8 Megawatt community solar farm that serves customers who live in the ComEd service area and choose to participate in the Nexamp Community Solar program. It is powered by more than 11,000 American-made solar modules mounted to a tracker system that follows the sun throughout the day for maximum production. This power generation facility is able to offset the needs of approximately 1,000 average households.
