In 2010, Nexamp was awarded several state contracts to install solar photovoltaic systems at 13 water and wastewater treatment plants in Massachusetts to offset their energy consumption. The projects were completed under the Massachusetts Solar Stimulus IIInitiative, the state’s largest solar procurement process in history. This 485.1-kilowatt solar plant generates enough electricity to offset 844,680 pounds of carbon dioxide annually, and provides approximately half of the power for the water treatment facility.
