Chester Woods Point Solar was Nexamp's first project in Maryland and one of the first community solar projects in the state. The project is part of a three-year Community Solar Pilot Program launched by the Maryland Public Service Commission to expand solar access to all Maryland residents and features Nexamp's first single-axis tracking system which maximizes efficiency in capturing the sun's energy throughout the day. Delmarva Power customers are eligible to subscribe to the project and participate in Nexamp Community Solar and, in accordance with state requirements, over 50% of the project is reserved for low-to-middle income residents, ensuring that the benefits of solar are readily available to everyone equally.
