Located southeast of Fort Covington, New York, and only about a mile from the Canadian border, Covington Solar 1 and 2 are co-located projects connected to the local grid. Covington Solar 1 is a 2.9 Megawatt project featuring almost 5,000 domestically manufactured solar modules mounted to a tracker system for maximum productivity. Area residents who get their power from National Grid can enroll in the Nexamp community solar program and save on their annual electric expenses.
