The town of Dexter in central Maine is home to Dexter Renewables, a 1.4 Megawatt community solar farm that features 2,277 U.S.-made solar modules on a tracker mounting system. Part of the CMP utility area, this solar farm generates enough electricity to offset the needs of more than 200 average households, enabling area residents to subscribe and save on their annual electric expenses without having to purchase or install any equipment.
