Just off the New York State Thruway and a little south of Rome, Eureka North Solar and Eureka South Solar are co-located projects in Westmoreland that together generate 12.8 Megawatts for the National Grid service area. Eureka South Solar features 14,378 solar modules and a tracker mounting system, producing enough energy to offset the needs of more than 1,000 average households. Anyone who gets power from National Grid in the state can subscribe to this farm and save on their electric bills with no equipment to install and no long-term contracts.
