Fitchburg Renewables is a 15,000 solar panel array in Fitchburg, MA. This project is Nexamp's third in Fitchburg and our second with the same landowner. The project generates clean energy and feeds it into the Unitil grid. The site is also equipped with a 2.5 MW / 5.2 MWh battery energy storage system, which enables the state of Massachusetts to receive renewable generation during times of high electricity demand. The project delivers power through the Massachusetts SMART program, but also participates in the Massachusetts Clean Peak Program, as well as ISO-NE wholesale capacity and ancillary service markets.
