Frederick Urbana Solar, a 2.5 Megawatt community solar farm situated on the southeastern outskirts of Urbana, Maryland, provides benefits to customers in the Potomac Edison utility area. With just over half of the 12-acre project reserved for low- and moderate-income residents, it is capable of serving roughly 400 average households. It features 4,698 solar modules mounted to an advanced tracking system for maximum efficiency and enables customers to save on their annual electric expenses with no equipment to install and no annual contracts.
