Genoa, Illinois, about 60 miles west of Chicago, is home to two Nexamp community solar projects that sit side by side on roughly 20 acres of underutilized farmland, Genoa Road Solar I and Genoa Road Solar II. Genoa Road Solar II is a 2.6 Megawatt project made up of 4,488 American-made solar modules mounted to a tracker system for maximum efficiency throughout the day. It feeds energy directly to the ComEd grid and enables area residents to enroll in the Nexamp community solar program to enjoy savings with no enrollment fees or long-term commitment.
