Granby Solar + Storage consists of a mix of fixed tilt and tracker panels across two co-located arrays. Developed on a small portion of a larger farming parcel, the project provides clean energy for the local power grid. Nearly 13,000 solar panels generate 4.7 megawatts of clean energy. The project also features a 2,000 kW/ 4,054 kWh DC-coupled, lithium-ion battery energy storage system paired with the 4,755 kW DC solar array that maximizes solar output and performs essential grid services. By storing the solar energy produced during the middle of the day, Nexamp can discharge the battery during peak periods later in the day when energy costs are highest, increasing the environmental and economic benefits of the energy.
