Nexamp built its first project at Allard’s Farm in Hadley in 2012, completed a second project in 2016, and now has a third project with the same landowner. Together, these three projects bring about 10 MW of clean power to the Hadley area and all WMECO customers across the utility service area. Sited next to the Hampshire Mall and occupying approximately 8.7 acres, Hadley Solar 3 features more than 9,500 solar panels feeding clean energy to the WMECO grid. The community solar program from Nexamp enables individuals to subscribe with no upfront costs or long-term contract and save money on their monthly electric bills.
