Harvard Solar II, sited adjacent to Harvard Solar I, is a 2.6 megawatt solar farm in Northern Illinois, not far from the Wisconsin border. It serves customers in the ComEd territory, bringing annual savings and providing a new source of renewable energy to the grid. With more than 4,800 U.S.-made solar modules and a tracker mounting system, it sits on previously cleared land long Route 173. Area residents can subscribe to the community solar farm with no enrollment fees or long-term commitment.
