Illini Solar is a 3.1 MW community solar farm that features 5,208 bifacial solar modules mounted to a tracking system for maximum productivity. The power needs of more than 400 average homes can be offset with the output of this project in the ComEd utility territory, offering consumers an opportunity to both save money on their annual electric expenses and support the expansion of renewable energy on the grid. It is located just outside of Kankakee, Illinois on a parcel of previously cleared land covering about 15 acres.
