The town of Mercer in central Maine is home to Nexamp’s Mercer Renewables 2, a 1.3 Megawatt community solar farm capable of meeting the electricity needs of roughly 200 average households in the Central Maine Power utility territory. It features 2,256 solar modules manufactured right here in the U.S. and leverages a tracker mounting system that maximizes production throughout the day. Area residents can participate in the savings through Nexamp community solar, while the CMP grid gets an additional source of renewable energy.
