Metamora Solar, one of several Nexamp solar farms in the greater Peoria region, is situated on a parcel of underutilized farmland just outside Metamora, Illinois. It generates 7.5 Megawatts of solar energy from just over 14,000 solar modules and is capable of offsetting the electricity needs of more than 1,000 average area households. Anyone who gets their electricity from Ameren can subscribe to this farm through the Nexamp Community Solar program and save up to 15% annually on electricity supply costs while supporting the expansion of local solar.
