New Braintree Renewables, a community solar project located northeast of the town center, is a 2.4-megawatt array that features nearly 6,500 solar panels. The project is capable of serving approximately 350 homes in the National Grid service territory. Through Nexamp's Community Solar program, local residents and small businesses can subscribe to a portion of the project and save annually on their electricity costs.
