Serving NYSEG customers in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, Newfield Solar was Nexamp’s first community solar project in New York. The 7.5-megawatt array spans 30 acres and consists of over 23,000 solar panels. Through Nexamp's Community Solar program, local residents, small businesses, and non-profits are expected to receive over $2 million in electricity cost savings over the project's lifetime. This project is also the first site for Nexamp's solar grazing program which matches local sheep farmers with community solar sites to provide vegetation management.
