Oakley Road Solar sits on about 28 acres of land in Cerro Gordo, Illinois, northeast of Decatur. It is a 6.8 Megawatt project serving the Ameren utility area and features almost 12,000 domestically produced bifacial solar modules attached to a tracker mounting system. As part of the Nexamp community solar program, this solar farm produces enough energy to meet the needs of more than 1,000 average area homes. Residents can join the program with no enrollment fees, nothing to install, and the option to cancel at any time.
