The second Nexamp project in the town of Rumford, Maine, Old Route 2 Solar is built on town land behind the Rumford Municipal Garage and generates 1.4 Megawatts of solar energy from just 2,400 modules. The bifacial modules, manufactured in the U.S., are mounted to a tracking system that follows the sun throughout the day. The renewable energy generated is fed directly to the local Central Maine Power grid, and area residents are able to take advantage of the project, lowering their energy bills with no annual contract or rooftop panels.
