Omaha Sun, a 3.6 Megawatt community solar farm in Omaha, Illinois, generates clean energy for the Ameren utility grid and enables area residents to participate in the Nexamp Community Solar program to save on their annual electric expenses. With more than 6,700 American-made solar modules and a versatile tracker mounting system, the project is capable of meeting the power needs of approximately 500 average households. It sits in the southeast corner of the state, only a few miles from the Indiana border.
