Located about 10 miles northeast of Decatur, Illinois on a previously cleared section of land, Oreana Renewables occupies roughly 20 acres for its 11,280 American-made solar modules mounted to a tracker system for maximum productivity. This community solar farm generates 6.6 Megawatts of solar energy and is capable of meeting the energy needs of approximately 1,000 average households. Anyone who is a customer of Ameren can participate in the Nexamp community solar program and save on their annual electric costs.
