The 2.9 MW Penobscot River Solar project in Chester features almost 5,000 American-made bifacial solar modules attached to a tracker mounting system that follows the sun throughout the day for maximum renewable energy production. Located about an hour north of Bangor, this community solar farm sends power to the Versant grid and enables participants in the program to save up to 15% on annual electric costs.
