About 15 miles north of the Mississippi River, Percy Renewables 1 generates 6.4 Megawatts of electricity and sends it to the Ameren utility grid. This community solar farm occupies roughly 20 acres of previously cleared land and features more than 10,000 U.S.-made bifacial solar modules producing enough renewable energy to offset the needs of 900 or so average households. Residents can participate by enrolling in the Nexamp program, yielding annual savings on their electric expenses.
