Rockford CS 1 is co-located with Rockford CS 2 in Rockford, IL, and occupies approximately 11 acres. Featuring roughly 6,600 solar panels, the project can produce 2.6 MW of clean solar energy for ComEd customers in the area. Rockford CS 1 utilizes a single-axis tracker system, so panels follow the sun throughout the day for maximum sunlight capture and performance.

Rockford CS 1 joins more than a dozen other projects owned and operated by Nexamp across the state of Illinois, making the benefits of solar available to anyone with no up-front cost or long-term commitment. More than 300 area residents will be able to subscribe to this project and enjoy the opportunity to save money on their annual electric costs while supporting the growth of clean energy in the region.
