Two identical arrays of 3,552 solar panels installed on land parcels across the street from each other combine to produce more than 2.5 MW of clean electricity for area residents and businesses. With this generation capacity, the project – known collectively as West Street Solar 1 & 2 – will enable area households and businesses to save money each month on their National Grid electric bill by subscribing to community solar. In addition, the construction and maintenance of the solar farm enhances employment opportunities in the local community over the lifetime of the project.
