We are transitioning your account from dual billing. Both your community solar credits and charges will now appear only on your utility bill, instead of receiving one invoice from Nexamp and one bill from your utility.
This provides a more streamlined and consistent billing experience, allowing you to receive one combined bill from your utility instead of two, make a single payment, and avoid confusion caused by separate billing timelines.
No. Your subscription rate and solar savings remain the same. This update only affects how you are billed, not what you pay.
During the transition, you may experience 1–2 months where you receive your final bill in arrears from Nexamp while your first charges begin appearing on your utility bill; this does not mean you are being billed twice, as each charge reflects a different billing period.
No. The two charges reflect different months of solar generation: the Nexamp bill covers a past month billed in arrears, while the charge on your utility bill reflects the current billing period. After this short transition, all charges will appear on your utility bill moving forward.
Most customers experience 1 month of overlap, but depending on utility billing cycles, it may be up to 2 months.
You will receive your final arrears bill from Nexamp, and after that all Nexamp subscription charges will appear only on your utility bill; however, you may still receive Nexamp communications about your account, project updates, or general service information.
Billing in arrears means you were billed after your solar credits appeared on your utility bill—typically 1–2 months later—and with the new billing approach, charges will become current and align directly with your utility’s billing cycle.
